Troop Schedule
Our troop has a very healthy enrollment, an excellent Cub Scout feeder program, strong parent involvement, and an outstanding sponsor. Our program is well-rounded, offering typical Scout activities, an active outdoor program and numerous service work projects. In addition to traditional summer camp, winter campout, Camporees, hiking and canoeing, we go deep sea fishing and white water rafting. One of our Scout leaders runs an active caving program.
The typical "calendar":
  • Winter - Klondike Derby, Freeze-out weekend
  • Spring - Spring Camporee, Relay For Life, Rt. 351 clean-up and other service projects, Memorial Day Parade
  • Summer - Deep-Sea Fishing, Hiking, Canoe Trips, White-Water Rafting, Summer Residence Camp
  • Fall - Fall Camporee, extra camping trips, Schagticoke Fair, Rt. 351 clean-up and other service projects, Veteran's Day
We conduct many service projects throughout the year, encouraging all Scouts and family members to participate.

Here are some examples of service projects:

  • Bi-annual Rt. 351 clean-up

  • Recycling program

  • Decorating veterans' graves with the American Flag

  • Helping at the Poestenkill Business Association auction

  • Assisting with Town Library needs

  • Participating in American Cancer Society activities

  • Participating in school events and projects

  • Participating in Eagle Scout projects
